Opal is an unpredictable stone. We like to work it for this freedom it offers. The movement and color field changes in opal are sometimes overwhelming and guide us in the execution. Time is important, because when you cut and work a stone, every gesture is "the last". Since 1981 Spivach means opal. We buy the raw opal in Australia from independent miners with whom we have managed to establish strong and lasting relationships. In our atelier in Udine we transform it into unique gems with warm and deep colours and into opals with unusual and light shapes that dialogue with the other materials we use such as gold, silver and bronze, but which are complementary to opal. Our opal cutting atelier has been synonymous with professionalism, care and passion for more than 30 years. Important values that we have collected from our father and that we transfer into every opal we work.
